I am Ryan Abell the director of Abell Building Services Ltd.
I have worked within the building trade for 15 years, originally trained in carpentry gaining full City and Guilds qualification. I worked on new build homes, then went on to working within the domestic sector where I spent more of my time adapting customers homes to their ideal specification. I found that I enjoyed getting to liase with customers making their homes their dreams. I went on further to complete an NVQ in electrics, before concentrating on growing my business and management skills, employing more skilled trades and our first appentice.
I wanted to start my own business where I could use all my skills and knowledge to manage entire building projects from start to end whilst ensuring complete customer satisfaction throughout. Our team is tightly knit and we work together to build customers dreams. I enjoy spending time with all of our teams and networking with subcontractors and building regulations to ensure we work together closely on projects.
Out side of work I love spending time with my two children and enjoying long walks with our dog, usually ending up in the park!
James is our apprentice carpenter and has worked for abell building services for two years. He has recently completed his second year apprenticeship, although he is now a qualified carpenter he has decided to further his qualifaction and has recently started his third year, which has more focus on management skills and more advanced joinery skills. We have also just complete the asbestos awareness course with James and the manual handling and working from heights training courses.
He is a huge asset to our team, and we are often praised from our customers on how polite and tidy he is whilst at work.
Outside of work James enjoys staying active and plays semi professional rugby for Hinkley Rugby Club, but still finds time to enjoy a spot of bingo with friends and family.
Carpenter
Elliott joined our team this year and has became a great asset to the company. He is punctual, polite and is a great team player. He works for us in both the domestic and commercial sector, on all aspects of carpentry and some building work. In his spare time he enjoys making bespoke joinery pieces in his shed.
I am Claire the office manager for Abell Building Services Ltd.
I have been part of the Abell Building Services team for almost two years.
Prior to this I worked for British Gas in their credit control department for six years. I gained a diploma in credit management, accounting and business alongside this role which has helped in building my skills and knowledge to assist me with my job now.
I am currently responsible for all of the office administration work, as well as completing all of the business book keeping and payrol functions. I enjoy all aspects of my role and look forward to the company expanding and progressing my skills further.
Outside of work I enjoy brining up our two children and spend lots of time at baby and toddler groups with them.
